FAQ For Podcasting & Audioblogging Sessions

What's this about?

On the fourth Thursday of every month, London Social Media Club members are out and about (or maybe stopping in) making social media in the form of video. Those who already know how to do it share their knowledge with those who wish to learn. But you can just watch if you like. We'll see how it goes, but it could also involve some hanging around in bars.

Do I have to be a member of Social Media Club to come along?

No, nobody *has* to be a member of Social Media Club to do anything. However, if you want to show your committment to the club it would be great if you could sign up here. If you can make a financial contribution, that will make sure that more Social Media Club activities can happen, but at the least, please consider showing your support with a free "open" membership.

How much does it cost to come along?

Nothing, this is a free event - but if we do any hanging around in bars, you'll need to be prepared to buy your own drinks :P

Do I need to be a video geek?

No, but if you are one you don't have to be shy. We tend to be at the rough and ready end as far as equipment goes, but if you don't leave home without your own personal film crew, we promise not to snigger (while you're looking)

Do I have to bring any equipment?

Nope, you don't have to, but if you have any gear we think you'll have more fun if you do. Also don't worry if you only have a little one, it's what you do with it that matters :)

Do I need to already have a regular videoblog?

No, this really is for anyone - it's a chance for you to talk to other people who are interested and to take part in the making of as many video blogs as we get videobloggers. We'll teach you fascinating tips such as keeping the light behind *you* and how to walk with a camera without falling over.

Can I tell my friends and bring other people along

YES! The first rule of Social Media Club is "Talk about Social Media Club" :P
