As agendas become available, we'll add links to them from this page (click on the date). Registration is required for each event - $10 presale or $20 at the door. SMC 'card carrying' members get in for free unless otherwise noted (meaning if you have paid for a membership).

The Social Media Club San Francisco/Silicon Valley is looking for help shaping the future of Social Media in Northern California. We have identified four roles that we needed support filling. These four people form the leadership team of the SFSV group. If you'd be interested in helping one of them, please send an email to kristie [at] socialmediaclub [dot] org. And your input on these roles is welcome--as with all the Social Media Club Wiki pages, this one is editable too (the password is above, feel free to add your comments or suggestions below).

 

LOCAL LEADERSHIP/VOLUNTEER TEAM

 

President/Team Lead – Event project management, locks in schedule and ensures events actually happen monthly, works with Directors to complete projects assigned. Oversees all accounting records. Fills in where needed. On site 90% of the meetings to ensure they go well. Open position - Alyce?

 

Programming Director – At the heart of the Social Media Club is great interactive events. The Programming Director manages all aspects of the activity calendar for the San Francisco /Silicon Valley club by determining topics to be discussed and speakers to present. Confirmed: Jennifer Lindsay with support from Chris Heuer and anyone else who wishes to submit topic ideas and/or speaker suggestions

 

Production Director -Securing venue for each meeting, managing on-site signage, video, audio and lighting, working with Mangiamo Director to coordinate food and drink with event sponsors and/or venue, ensure supplies are provided at each event (name badges, pens, markers, etc.). Manages front desk (check in) the day of the event. Open position

 

Digital Scribe(s) - Responsible for recording the discussion and producing a blog post/video/podcast that will be posted to the socialmediaclub.org website within one week of the event. Confirmed: David Libby, Brian Remmel, could use 1-2 more volunteers here.

 

Promotions Director(s) - Managing the local chapter calendar postings on the socialmediaclub.org blog, wiki, Facebook group, Upcoming and other related forums. Confirmed: Janet Fouts and J.J. Toothman, could use more volunteers here. 

 

Partnership Director - manages the relationships with the national Social Media Club parent organization, other important related organizations (both national and local), as well as with local businesses and organizations interested in sponsoring or hosting upcoming activities. Open position

 

Mangiamo Director - Orders/picks up/sets up food and beverage for event. Works closely with Secretary/Treasurer to ensure funds are available for items. Open position

 

Secretary/Treasurer - Manages all accounting for local chapter (door fees, sponsorships, expenses and reimbursements). Reviews accounting monthly with President and Partnership Director to drive revenues for the local chapter. Confirmed: Kristie Wells
