Columbus Social Media Cafe

The CSMC usually meets on the last Tuesday of the month, 6:30 - 8:30 pm.  We have met since November 2007.  We serve the greater Columbus and Central Ohio area.

We have a special meeting on Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at 6:30 PM to celebrate our one year anniversary.  Here's the meeting announcement:

Calling all foodies for the first annual CSMC potluck. Bring a dish, post your recipe, eat, drink and be merry at WOSU Public Media in the Fawcett Center! Like all CSMC events, the potluck will be designed by our community for our community.

This will be held at WOSU in the Fawcett Center, 2400 Olentangy River Rd. parking is free on the south side of the building.

This is a party. As of December, 2008, The CSMC will have been together for an entire year. Though we started with pizza and soft drinks in december 2007, we will toast with the best of the best. Scottish shortbread (as opposed to, um, what other type of shortbread??) is promised, and turkey chili are on the menu so far.

We are looking to provide tableware, plus water and soft drinks. Scott is promising a batch of mulled (non-alcoholc cider) as well.

Let us know if you’re coming, and start planning that menu! Some special social media ideas will be put into practice, because that’s what we do…

IDEAS WANTED: We're also looking for great ideas for upcoming events. Check out the SF Bay Area Ideas page to see if it gives any ideas for the CSMC on possible upcoming events, speakers, sponsors, etc.

I recently relocated to Columbus (from Louisville) to help Nationwide with their social media strategy. I am looking for other social media professionals and enthusiasts to help build a Social Media Club chapter. I was heavily involved with the chapter in Louisville and would love to see the same level of activity here in Columbus.
