The Social Media Club is looking for help shaping the future of social media in our local area. We have identified four roles that we needed support filling. These selected people form the leadership team of the Mexico City group. If you'd be interested in helping one of them, please send an email to [insert contact name, email & phone]. Sobre la reunión de hoy, quiero hacer un comentario al respecto del caso de Mundo- Contact.
Uno de los participantes (sorry no recuerdo el nombre) preguntó: cual es el beneficio económico de emplear social media para una empresa. Estube recapacitando al respecto. Porque yo empece a hacer lo mismo para GreenVet, llevo al rededor de 3 meses posteando en todas partes y no he visto aun un incremento en ventas. Al escuchar que Mundo Contact lleva año y medio, y no saben que beneficio económico se ha generado, me puse a recapacitar: en que la red es gratis¡¡ estamos haciendo publicidad gratis que si bien hace algunos años, para conseguir 10 000 visitas se requeririan repartir al menos un millón de folletos o flyers.Puedes atraer la misma cantidad de gente dedicandote unas horas diarias a postear en todas partes.
Ese es el beneficio económico real al menos para mi (GreenVet) prefiero pasar horas posteando y ahorrar aprox 25000 pesos al mes en materiales impresos. Además de evitar el coraje de saber que el 80% o más de esos flyers acabarán en la basura.

Hola,
Sobre el comentario de Eugenia, quiero aclarar que no dijimos que no sabemos cuál es el beneficio económico de usar las redes sociales. De ser así, seguramente no las seguiríamos aprovcehando como hasta ahora. Lo que tratamos de explicar es que en este momento los resultados, aunque son positivos, no los hemos medido de manera integral y en pesos. Para lograrlo, estamos haciendo cambios en la plataforma e implementando herraminetas que nos ayuden a medir el beneficio monetario, y por supuesto a mejorar la experiencia de los usuarios.
Preferimos medirlo de manera global a dar cifras aisladas que no reflejen el gran impacto de las redes sociales en el negocio. En cuanto tengamos el dato lo compartiremos con todos en el Social Media Club México.
